Please be aware that any facility undertaking the replacement of parts on 'Hazardous Area Equipment' must have the necessary ATEX QAN or IECEx QAR for all of the modes of protection listed on the equipment certification. Also, all servicing must be undertaken in accordance with standard IEC/EN 60079-19:2011/IEC 60079-19:2010 Explosive atmospheres- Equipment repair, overhaul and reclamation.
Part 19: Repair and overhaul for apparatus used in explosive atmospheres (other than mines), or by the latest version of this, or any other relevant standard. Only competent personnel who have the necessary skills should carry out this work. Any deviation from this will invalidate the E2S warranty and contravene the equipment certification. If your repair facility does not conform to this requirement then we recommend that the items be returned to E2S for the work to be carried out.
